How to get to Sidmouth.
The A3052 seaside road is the major route into Sidmouth. This gives you access to Exeter and the M5 motorway, which are both 12 miles (19 kilometres) distant.
Stagecoach South West runs irregular bus services to Exeter and Honiton or Seaton every half-hour. Bus route 899, which operates from Seaton to Sidmouth via Beer and Branscombe, also stops in Sidmouth.
The nearest railway stations since the closing of the Sidmouth Railway in 1967 are Feniton, Honiton, or Whimple, all on the West of England line. The closest of these stations is Feniton, which is 8 miles (13 kilometres) distant.
There is no motorway access directly to Sidmouth, the main roads in will be the A30 and the A38 or the coast road (A3052) from Lyme Regis.
